Heliothis phloxiphagus Grote & Robinson 1867

Common name: listed here as ‘Common phlox moth.’

Hodges #: 11072.

Identification: Rfw 15.9 mm, fw with median shade sharply angled at reniform and concave to inner margin, shade touches proximal side of reniform; hw ground color pale pink to whitish; male vesica with two basal diverticula.

Similar species: 11068, 11072.1, 11077.

Distribution: southern Canada to central Mexico.

Hosts: larvae are extremely polyphagous.
