Schinia acutilinea (Grote 1878)

Common name: listed here as ‘Angle-lined flower moth.’

Hodges #: 11190 as Schinia separata (Grote).

Identification: Rfw 13.9 mm, fw with am. line acutely angled, dark pm. shade broken opposite reniform; vhw with fuscous discal spot and spot at anal angle.

Similar species: 11082, 11192, 11193, and 11195.

Distribution: western Great Plains to the Pacific and from southern Canada to Arizona and California.

Hosts: Larvae feed on Artemisia tridentata Nuttall– Big sagebrush.
