Atteva punctella (Cramer 1781)

Common name: Ailanthus webworm.

Hodges #: 2401.

Identification: Fw coppery to red-orange with yellow-green spots on black fasciae; black areas with blue-purple reflectance.

Similar species: 1717.

Distribution: eastern U.S., more common southward.

Hosts: Larvae feed on Ailianthus– Tree-of-heaven.
