Clostera strigosa (Grote 1882)

Common name: Strigose clostera Hodges #: 7898. Identification: Rfw 11.5  mm, Fw highly mottled, frosted with white scales, pale subapical patch and sinuate diagonal shade line.  Eyes hairy, antennae of male pectinate to apex. Similar species: 7895, 7896, 7901. Distribution: southern Canada and northern United States. Hosts: Larval feed on poplar and cottonwood- Populus spp.		ND  Ransom Co.  UV lt.  23- VI- 1962. R. W. Post.   Fw showing straw colored subapical patch.
