Baileya ophthalmica (Guenée 1852)

Common name: Eyed baileya.

Hodges #: 8970.

Identification: Rfw 12.5 mm, reniform spot of fw ocellate, fw with pale basal area.

Similar species: 8971, 9049.

Distribution: southeastern Canada and eastern U.S.

Hosts: Larvae feed on Ostrya virginiana (Mill.) K. Koch– Hop-hornbeam.
