Message from President Cook

Dear NDSU Community,

I wanted to update you on a Shared Governance Summit held on March 21 by NDSU governance groups. Participants focused on the concept of shared governance, best practices in higher education, and what we can do to address emerging issues and challenges within an effective shared governance structure. The conversation was guided by a facilitator of the Association of Governing Boards (AGB). 

We initially planned for a follow-up open forum on April 2, however, not all governance leaders are able to attend at that time. We are moving the open forum to a later date so that all leaders who participated in the summit can be part of this continued conversation with our campus community.  

Please join us for the rescheduled date of April 17,  2:00pm-3:00pm in the A. Glenn Hill Center, room 130/132. More information on the open forum logistics and format will be shared. We look forward to engaging with all of you in an open dialog on what we can do to strengthen shared governance practices on campus.
