Challey Hall, formerly known as the Reineke Fine Arts Center, is home to the Challey School of Music at NDSU and serves as a vibrant hub for creativity, collaboration and performance. In 2025 this building was renovated and expanded with a 9,700-square-foot addition, the facility features upgraded rehearsal and classroom spaces, advanced technology, new recording studios and enhanced performance environments designed to support the next generation of musicians, educators and performers. The building also includes modernized student and faculty spaces that foster artistic exploration and hands-on learning. Funded entirely through philanthropy, Challey Hall reflects the transformational support of the Robert and Sheila Challey family and NDSU’s continued investment in the future of music education and performance.
