Department Signs Partnership Agreement with Two State Emergency Management Agencies

We couldn’t be more excited to share that we’ve signed formal collaborative partnership agreements with both North Dakota Department of Emergency Services AND Minnesota Homeland Security and Emergency Management. These agreements institutionalize a relationship between our organizations based on our mutual recognition of the value each can offer the other as we work to foster a better educated, trained, and professional emergency management workforce and resilient organizations and communities. Benefits to come as a result of our formalized partnerships include: expanded opportunities for communication and coordination; expanded integration of scholarly expertise and current research in scholarship in policy and practice; synergy between education and training processes involved in preparing the future emergency management workforce; and, expanded opportunities for professional development of those in or seeking emergency management positions.

The future for emergency management in our region is bright. And, it’s only going to get brighter. STAY TUNED!!!
