Peterson and Hall receive Staff Recognition Awards

Lori Peterson and Kylie Hall in the College of Health Professions have received Staff Recognition Awards from NDSU Staff Senate and Office of Human Resources. As assistant to the Dean, Lori Peterson’s knowledge of how to get things done helps the College run effectively. With an unflappable manner, she’s coordinated mass moves of faculty and staff, helped ensure College coordination of the intricate puzzle of bringing a new building from construction to opening and renovating an existing one.

Kylie Hall, project manager in NDSU Public Health, serves in the Center for Immunization Research and Education. She provides expertise in vaccination policy and practice. Projects include studying immunization disparities in the state and assisting with the Pharmacy-Based Immunization Toolkit. Hall also provides immunization education through research and media. Both Peterson and Hall keep focus on one main thing—their commitment to students.

The honors from NDSU Staff Senate and the Office of Human Resources recognize outstanding achievement on the job; exceptional contributions toward effective and efficient operations; outstanding service to other employees, students or visitors; and distinguished efforts in staff development or recognition.

“Each year, Staff Senate’s staff recognition committee reviews dozens of nominations that tell stories of staff taking on extra responsibilities, building strong relationships and serving the university in a number of ways,” said Staff Senate president Elizabeth Cronin, Agriculture Communication administrative assistant and conference coordinator. “It is inspiring to see the impact staff have at NDSU, and this year’s nominations were especially strong. Thank you to everyone who shared the story of a staff member who makes a difference here – and congratulations to all our nominees.”
