Long-horned grasshopper/Flat-horned sand grasshopper*
Adults
- Antennae ensiform.
- Pronotum cut by two sulci.
- Lateral lobes pointed.
- Tegmen brown, with light and dark dots along costal margin. Not banded.
- Hindwing with basal half red, outer half black with a clear 'window' (male) or with outer half clear (female).
- Inner face of hind femur black on basal 1/3, pale to apex and crossed by a black band.
- Hind tibia blue-gray, darkening to fuscous at base and apex. Blackish area at base with a pale ring.
