Adults

  • Antennae simple.
  • Lateral foveola not visible from above.
  • Pronotum much broader posteriad.
    • Lateral carina cut by one or two sulci.
  • Very broad winged, wings extend beyond abdomen.
    • Tegmen without basal white streak.
  • Inner face of hind femur bright red.
  • Hind tibia red to yellowish with black spines.
  • Male subanal plate pointed.
  • Found in sedge meadows.
Nymphs
  • Not described, should be structurally similar to adult as follows:
    • Lateral foveola not visible from above.
    • Pronotum much broader posteriad.
    • Lateral carina cut by one or two sulci.
    • Male subanal plate pointed.
  • Found in sedge meadows.
