Cryptocala acadiensis (Bethune 1870)

Common name: Catocaline dart.

Hodges #: 11012.

Identification: Rfw 13.8 mm, hw yellow with broad black marginal band.

Similar species: 8878, 11012.1.

Distribution: central Canada and northern United States.

Hosts: Larvae feed on Achillea– Yarrow, Sagittaria– Arrowhead, Sambucus– elderberry, and Spirea– meadowsweet.
