Caridillus Bergroth, 1909

Caridillus Bergroth, 1909: 330-331.

Type Species: Caridillus curtus Bergroth, 1909, by monotypy.

Included Species:
curtus Bergroth

Tribal Placement: Loose translation from Bergroth’s original description: The systematic position of this strange pentatomid is completely unclear to me. I take the preliminary position, in spite of that shown by the head structure, in the proximity of the genus Aeptus Dall., that also has a similar habit.

Comments: This genus is currently monotypic, with the only known species recorded only from Victoria, Australia.  In fact, only the type material is known.
