EMPLOYMENT SEMINAR FOR F-1 STUDENTS
4:00 PM, Thursday, September 11
Memorial Union, Room of Nations
Employment Seminars are designed to inform students of the rules, regulations, and procedure for applying for off-campus employment. Attending these seminars will also give students an opportunity to ask any questions they may have about practical training. Because students are not eligible to apply for practical training benefits until they have been in F-1 status for 9 months, we ask that you do not attend an employment seminar until your second semester at NDSU.
Students are required to attend one of these seminars BEFORE being able to apply for CPT or OPT. Appointments to discuss CPT or OPT with an advisor cannot be made unless students have first attended an employment seminar.

F-M COMMUNITY BICYCLE WORKSHOP
The F-M Community Bicycle Workshop is a community-run learning space, committed to the reclamation and distribution of recycled bicycles by providing tools, education and an inclusive space for all members of our diverse community. This is a place where people can bring their bicycles to fix them by using provided tools and supplies as well as benefit from the help of knowledgeable people. In addition, at the bicycle workshop, volunteers help to take apart recycled bicycles and build new ones. If you are interested in finding out more about the F-M Bicycle Workshop or want to learn more about the parts of a bicycle and bicycle safety, please check out their website at: www.fmbikeworkshop.org or email them at info@fmbikeworkshop.org
The location is at: 102 N. University Drive in Fargo. |
