Horse Powered Reading Camps
North Dakota State University Bison Strides is hosting four half-day Horse Powered Reading camps Aug. 17 to 20 for youth from ages 5 to 12.
Alongside their equine partners, participants will help create obstacle courses, groom and lead horses, and learn to strengthen their reading skills through fun, horse-centered activities. The camps are held at the NDSU Equine Center in Fargo, North Dakota.
Bison Strides programs partner horses and humans to build self-confidence, strength, mindfulness and independence.
“These camps are a great opportunity to introduce youth to horses,” says Erika Berg, Bison Strides program director. “It's a unique opportunity to connect with horses in an engaging and supportive environment.”
