The Anxious Generation Book Study
The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt argues that the spread of smartphones, social media and overprotective parenting have led to a "rewiring" of childhood and a rise in mental illness. Haidt calls readers to action to change the way adolescents use phones and social media. Join us in this four-session book study to discuss what causes the rise in mental health issues in the 'Anxious Generation,' how social media and tech has affected youth, and how we can take collection actions to help our youth navigate this technological world.
The Anxious Generation book will be provided for you from NDSU Extension at the first meeting.
