Summary

  • Today-Friday: Warm, dry, and very windy with a Red Flag (extreme wildfire) Threat. Winds south today, turning from the west-northwest on Friday.

  • Rest of Weekend into next week: A widespread wetting rain developing late Saturday night through Sunday, and seasonably mild.

  • Next Month: Mild, but dry to near normal moisture. El Nino pattern to set up through June.

  • This Summer and Fall: El Nino conditions. Near to above normal Temperatures, and near normal Precipitation.

The NOAA/CPC outlook states that ENSO-neutral conditions will be tapering off in June. El Niño favored to persist at least through the end of 2026.
