Circle of Security Parenting

From the moment they are born children are doing their best to tell us what they need. Learn to use the Circle of Security to see the need – see through the behavior. Recognize when/how to be your child’s secure base. Learn to follow your child’s needs, when possible, take charge when necessary. Objectives of the course include strengthening your connection with your child; learning to read your child’s cues for emotional support; increasing your ability to respond to your child’s needs; and increasing your child’s ability to regulate emotions over time.

This class is approved for Growing Futures childcare provider education and foster care licensing credit.

Thursdays; April 4, 11, 18, 25 & May 2, 9
