North Dakota Range Camp 2026
The primary goal of Youth Range Camp is to teach the basic principles of range management, especially relating to livestock and wildlife. We hope that the participants will acquire an understanding of the complex nature of the interactions and relationships between Rangeland resources and other resources and uses.
Camp Dates
Range Youth Camp runs from Tuesday, June 23, through Friday, June 26. Registration is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Mountain Time) on Tuesday. Camp comes to a close with the awards ceremony following lunch on Friday. Parents are invited to attend lunch and the awards ceremony.
The Cost
The registration fee is $140 to be paid by the applicant or sponsor. Many Soil Conservation Districts (SCD), 4-H clubs and grazing associations have sponsored many campers. Contact your local county Extension agent, 4-H youth development agent, FFA/Vo-ag instructor or SCD office for assistance.
Who Can Attend
All youth between ages 13 and 18 are eligible to attend. Permission of a parent/guardian is required as noted on the application form. The camp has room for 35 participants on a first-come basis, so please send in your application early.
