Bandlands Judging Contest 2025

Livestock
• Performance data may be used for livestock classes
• There will be at least three sets of oral reasons for every division
• Thirteen minutes will be provided to judge each class
• Judging will be held at the All-Seasons Indoor Arena at the Bowman County Fairgrounds - The building is heated and restrooms are available
• Reasons will be held at the Bowman County School after all classes are judged
• There will be Junior and Senior (4-H) and FFA divisions
4-H and FFA Agronomy
• 4-Hers will judge following the FFA Agronomy CDE Contest rules and outline.
• There will be Junior and Senior (4-H) and FFA divisions
Registration
To register, go to http://www.judgingcard.com/ Click on event registration and North Dakota Badlands Judging Contest on February 21, 2025. Enter in the number of participants and participant’s names in each category. If your county/chapter does not use judgingcard.com, please contact the Bowman County Extension Office at 701-523-5271 or ndsu.bowman.extension@ndsu.edu to register.
Participant fees are $10.00 per person including meal to be paid at the contest. Coaches, parents, advisors, bus drivers, etc. please sign up for a meal for $10.00 each. Late registration fee is $15.00 per person.
Registration opens February 1 and closes on February 14th, 2025 at 12am MT. Late registration (with an additional $5 fee) will be from February 15th through the 18th closing at 5pm MT. Results from the contest will be posted on www.judgingcard.com after awards are announced.
Schedule (MST)
- 8am Registration (all contestants will start in the Bowman County School Gym) 4-H & FFA Livestock, FFA Ag Sales, 4-H & FFA Agronomy
- 8:30am Livestock Judging Contest Begins – Leave in groups to All-Seasons Arena - Fairgrounds
- 8:45am Ag Sales & Agronomy Contests Begin – School
- 12pm Lunch – School
- 1:30pm Awards – School Gym
