NDSU sets fruit, vegetable and woody plants field day for Sept. 10

The North Dakota State University Department of Plant Sciences will host a fruit, vegetable and woody plant field day on Sept. 10. The field day will be held at the NDSU Horticulture Research Farm and Arboretum near Amenia and Absaraka, North Dakota, and begin at 4:30 p.m.

“This event will showcase some of the exciting horticulture research being conducted at NDSU’s Department of Plant Sciences and give participants a chance to see how some of the projects we are working on might be suitable for their gardens, orchards or farms,” says Harlene Hatterman-Valenti, NDSU Department of Plant Sciences professor and field day organizer.

The field day will include presentations on grapes, high tunnel onions and leeks, apples, raspberries, hydromulches in horticulture and woody plant breeding research.
