Class Notes


  • Irene (Langseth) Olson, 94, MS ’72 food and nutrition, was a dietitian and dietetics educator at hospitals and nursing homes in Arthur and Wahpeton, North Dakota; and New York Mills, Twin Valley, Ulen, Lake Park and Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. She lived in Horace, North Dakota.
  • Theodore Gray Jr., 88, MEd ’80 educational administration, was an Army veteran who served during WWII and the Korean War. He was a teacher in several states, eventually settling in Minot, North Dakota. He lived in Bismarck, North Dakota.
  • James R. Olsen, 70, BS ’68 economics, earned a Bronze Star as an Army soldier serving in Vietnam. He had a 35-year career in the automobile industry, rising to be national business manager for Chrysler Corp. and, later, president of Arrow Pontiac-Buick-GMC in the Twin Cities. He lived in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
  • Ronald D. Ehlers, 83, BS ’64 economics, history, was an Air Force veteran who worked for the Norwest Bank (now Wells Fargo) system for 30 years. He was a member VFW, American Legion and Rotary Club.  He lived in Wahpeton, North Dakota.
  • Charlotte Atterberg, 63, BS ’78 biological science, BS ’83, pharmacy, was a teacher who later worked for more than 20 years as a pharmacist for the Bozeman, Montana, Hospital. She lived in Bozeman. 
  • John B. Larson, 70, MEd ’78 education counseling and guidance, had a career in health care administration that included stops in Jacksonville, Florida; Mandan and Fargo, North Dakota; Jasper, Indiana; Parkston, Canton and Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and Garoua Boulai, Cameroon. He lived in Sioux Falls. 
  • Paul M. Johnson, 62, BS ’81 business administration, owned the Taco Shop in Fargo for the past 29 years. He lived in Fargo.
  • Keegan Duffy, 30, BS ’10 construction management, was a systems analyst for Maximum Solutions Inc., a specialty enterprise software company in Edina, Minnesota. He lived in Maple Grove, Minnesota.
  • Adele Barrett, 64, diploma ’73 Bismarck Hospital School of Nursing, was co-owner of Barrett Pharmacy in Watford City, North Dakota, and later worked at the Nevada State Hospital, Carson City Mental Health Unit and Nevada Correctional Center. She lived in Reno, Nevada.
  • Sara Dvorak, BS ’03 nursing, was named manager of learning and organizational development for Altru Health System in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
