  • Katherine (Brommenschenkel) Vilmo, 28, BS ’13 agriculture, farmed with her husband near Ada, Minnesota. She was a member of the NDSU Rodeo Team as a student. She lived in Ada.
  • Edmund Johnson, 85, BUS ’76 university studies, retired from the Air National Guard after 20 years of service. He also was a U.S. Postal Service employee and served as postmaster in West Fargo. He lived in Fargo. 
  • Virginia (Wittmier) Dockter, 78, MS ’82 educational administration, was a teacher and elementary school principal during her 41-year career. She lived in Bismarck, North Dakota.
  • Richard Duncan, 69, BS ’71 agricultural mechanization, operated the family farm and ranch southeast of New Salem, North Dakota, for 46 years.He lived in New Salem. 
  • Jack Rustan, 77, MEd ’93 counseling and guidance, was a long-time instructor at Dickinson High School, where he taught industrial arts and drafting, before becoming the special needs coordinator. He later was a drilling fluids engineer with Baroid Drilling Services. He lived in Dickinson, North Dakota. 
  • Marjorie (Odegard) Nishek, 77, BS ’65 home economics, was a volunteer and trainer for the Peace Corps, with assignments in Bolivia, India, Lesotho and Tanzania. She and her husband were later Peace Corps country directors for The Gambia. She also worked for the U.S. embassy in Africa. She lived in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
  • Kenrad Salzsieder, 84, BS ’67 agricultural economics, worked for the Federal Land Bank, now known as Ag Country, retiring in 1996. He was an Army veteran who lived in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. 
  • Jerome Walcher, 80, BS ’60 mechanical engineering, was employed for more than 30 years at Teledyne CAE, in Toledo, Ohio, retiring in 2008. He lived in Temperance, Michigan. 
  • Danny Weigand, 69, BSN ’91 Bismarck Hospital School of Nursing, worked early on as an air traffic controller and later as a realtor. He lived in Bismarck, North Dakota. 
  • LeRoy Sandahl, 84, BS ’62 civil engineering, worked for the Civil Service for more than 30 years. He lived in Henning, Minnesota.
