Cary 5000 Ultraviolet-Visible-Near Infrared Spectrometer (UV-VIS-NIR)

UV-VIS-NIR is used to analyze compounds through electronic transitions that are caused by incident ultraviolet, visible light and Near infrared light. The application includes identifying chromophores; quantitatively determining different analytes, such as transition metal ions, highly conjugated organic compounds, and biological macromolecules; and also determining the absorption edge and band gap energies of materials (wavelength: 175-3300 nm).

Capability: 1) Transmission; 2) Diffuse Reflectance (110mm Integrating Sphere, 200nm~2,500nm); 3) Multi-angle spectral Reflectance.

Temperature Control: Dual Cell Peltier Cell Accessory (0-100°C)

Samples: Solids, liquids
