| Common name: Western bean cutworm.
Hodges #: 10878. Identification: Rfw 17.1 mm; dark fws with ocelate ordinary spots and pale costa; frons somewhat bulging, pro-tibia with both mesal and lateral row of setae. Male antennae doubly bifasiculate.. Similar species: 10674, 10701.2, 10818, 10826, 10864, and 10891. Distribution: Central American northward into the American southwest and in the plains states to the Dakotas.. Hosts: Larvae feed on a wide variety of plants. Economically
