Dorsal Body Cavity

 The dorsal body cavity contains the central nervous system. It consists of two parts: The Cranial Cavity (Cranium) is formed from skull bones and houses and protects the brain. The Spinal Cavity (Spinal Canal) is formed from the vertebrae of the spine, and houses and protects the spinal cord.
