The parathyroid glands are several small
nodules located in, on, or near the thyroid gland.
Hormone:
Parathyroid Hormone (Parathormone) has
an antagonistic effect to the thyroid hormone calcitonin.
Parathyroid hormone prevents the blood calcium level from getting
too low.
