NDSU Bookstore announces events

The NDSU Bookstore will host The Holiday Open House event all day on Tuesday, Nov. 16. All purchases will be 30 percent off, excluding textbooks, diploma frames, graduation apparel, electronics and convenience items. Refreshments will be served and live holiday music played from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. A drawing also will be held for a DVD home theater system. The NDSU Bookstore2 in Barry Hall and the NDSU Bookstore @ Cityscapes also will participate in the event.

The NDSU Bookstore @ Cityscapes will host a book swap on Wednesday, Nov. 17, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Individuals are invited to bring gently used general reading books to swap with other used books. There is no charge to participate. Store merchandise is not eligible for the book swap.

The NDSU Bookstore in the Memorial Union is sponsoring a wreath competition. Undecorated holiday wreaths are available at the customer service counter in the Bookstore. Decorate a wreath (appropriately) and bring it back to the Bookstore before Friday, Nov. 19. Customers will vote for the winning wreath Monday-Wednesday, Nov. 22-24. The winner will be chosen at the end of the day Wednesday, Nov. 24, and will receive a gift card from the NDSU Bookstore. All wreaths will be auctioned and the money donated to Churches United for the Homeless. The competition is open to individuals and campus departments.
