Join us for an exciting event with your future classmates. Our Admitted Student Days are opportunities for you to take another look at NDSU, get all of your final questions answered, and get excited about your upcoming semester. During your visit, you will tour campus, see your assigned residence hall, meet students and professors, and learn more about academics, student involvement, scholarships, and your next steps to becoming a Bison. Register early as space is limited.


Admitted Student Day is a great opportunity to meet fellow students and take a look at all that NDSU has to offer. Please note it is not an orientation or course registration event and attendance is not required. Orientation information can be found here.

Junior Day

Looking to get a head start on the campus visit process? Join us for our Discover NDSU Junior Day to explore what NDSU has to offer. During your visit, you will tour facilities, meet students and professors, and learn about academic life, student involvement, scholarships, and other opportunities available to NDSU students. Parking will be at the FargoDome, with check-in across the street at the Sanford Health Athletic Complex (SHAC).

Afternoon Open House Programming

  • Resource Fair – Check out all the things that NDSU has to offer! Fair tables will include academic colleges, student support services, student life, and student involvement.
  • Admission Appointment – Meet individually with an admission counselor to discuss the next steps, scholarships, or any other questions you have.
  • Financial Aid Appointment – Meet individually with a financial aid representative to discuss FAFSA submission, student aid, grants, loans, or any other questions you have.
  • Time to complete pre-registration steps – Get a head start on your falls classes by getting your accounts set up and completing pre-registration tasks. Representatives from Academic advising and Information Technology will be on hand to help you out.
  • eSports Lab Tour – Check out our new eSports Lab to learn more about club eSports, leagues, and involvement opportunities.

What happens if there is severe weather on the day of my visit?

If classes are canceled and the University is closed, the program will be canceled as well. You will receive a cancellation notification as soon as possible.

What should I wear?

Dress casually for your visit to campus. Comfortable shoes for the tour are recommended, and a jacket or umbrella are helpful in case of rain as much of the tour is outside. Check out today’s weather.

What will I see on the tour?

A student-led walking tour of campus includes our state-of-the-art classroom facilities, a residence hall, a dining center, and more.

May I bring a guest?

Yes! Parents, guardians, or guests are always welcome on campus. When you register for your visit, please indicate how many guests will accompany you to campus.

I am visiting with a friend and we want to go on tour together, do we need to register separately?

Yes, each student who is visiting should make their own reservation. Please let us know that you are visiting together at check-in, and we will do our best to put you on the same tour.

What if the number in my party has changed since I signed up for my tour?

If you know in advance that you are bringing more or fewer people than you initially indicated, please call our Office of Admission at 701-231-8643 or email ndsu.visit@ndsu.edu.

Driving Directions

We’re excited you’re planning to visit NDSU. Here are directions to the FargoDome parking lot, where you will park for your visit. See your itinerary for check-in instructions.

From I-94

  • Follow Interstate 94 to the Interstate 29 interchange.
  • Exit northbound on Interstate 29 (Exit 349).
  • Follow Interstate 29 to the 19th Avenue exit (Exit 67).
  • Turn right. Follow 19th Avenue east past the airport, NDSU's 18th Street entrance and FargoDome to University Drive.
  • Turn right onto University Drive.
  • Proceed one half block and turn right into Fargodome Lot C.
  • Admission staff will be there to greet you and direct you to check-in.

From the East Highway 10

  • Follow Highway 10 into Moorhead as it becomes Center Avenue.
  • Follow Center Avenue across the Red River into Fargo.
  • At 2nd Street in Fargo, turn right, heading north
  • At 1st Avenue, turn left.
  • Follow 1st Avenue to 10th Street North (a one-way street).
  • Turn right onto 10th Street and proceed to 19th Ave. North to the stoplight.
  • Turn left onto 19th Ave. North to the stoplight.
  • Turn left at the stoplight onto University Drive.
  • Proceed one half block and turn right into Fargodome Lot C.
  • Admission staff will be there to greet you and direct you to check-in.
