Waterhemp Workshop: ID and Management
Waterhemp is no longer a future problem, it's a current one. Early identification and integrated management are critical to slow its spread, control costs, and protect long-term farming options in Eddy County.SpeakersJoe Ikley, NDSU Extension Weed Specialist Waterhemp managementJeff Stachler, NDSU Extension Cropping Systems Specialist Will discuss Waterhemp and other pigweed species and will bring live plants he has growing in the Carrington Research Extension Center greenhouse. Weed survey we completed in August in Eddy County wheat fields that showed visible weeds from the road in 4 of the 24 wheat fields we surveyed. There will be plenty of time for questions and some helpful handouts.
