Black Bean Sandwich Spread

Description

Black beans make a great addition to many dishes including sandwiches.

  • ½ cup canned black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2½ teaspoons lemon juice
  • a teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ¼ cup bell pepper, finely chopped
Directions

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 F. Combine all ingredients except cheese in a blender or food processor; mix until smooth. Pour mixture into greased 8- by 8-inch pan; spread evenly. Sprinkle cheese over mixture. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
