2026 Fall Cost Share Application Deadline | Logan County
2026 Fall Cost Share applications are open!
North Dakota state law requires the control of noxious weeds.
The Logan County Weed Board offers spring cost share towards any chemicals recommended in the current ND Weed Control Guide for control of leafy spurge, spotted knapweed, yellow toadflax, houndstongue, wormwood*, Canada thistle*, or palmer amaranth.
Pasture & rangeland reimbursement is available at 80% of the chemical cost, and roadside & right-of-way reimbursement is available at 100% of the chemical cost. Cost-share reimbursements apply to the amount of chemical used, not the amount purchased, with a limit of $24 per acre. A calendar year maximum reimbursement of $5,000 per producer applies for all cost shares. No cost-share is available for labor**, cropland, or CRP applications. All cost-share requests must be submitted during the same calendar year of the weed control application.
*Canada thistle and wormwood control is offered with a limit of $500.
**Palmer Amaranth cost share is limited to $500 for manual labor (not chemical control).
