A Roadmap to Success for Rural Grocers: The North Dakota Rural Access Distribution (RAD) Cooperative's Journey to Sustainable Food Access for Residents in Walsh County, North Dakota - NDSU Center for Social Research Report No. 114 (February 2025)

Incorporated on April 19, 2021, the Rural Access Distribution Cooperative (RAD) is a shared-services cooperative providing residents of Walsh County, North Dakota with improved access to healthy foods and other important items. RAD is a food distribution network that unites three small-town grocers; delivers products to a community without local food access; and is improving affordability, variety, and convenience for the people who live in these communities. The following is an evaluation of the RAD project by Nancy Hodur, Center Director.

The Economic Contribution of McKenzie County Healthcare Systems  -  NDSU Center for Social Research Report No. 110 (February 2023)

The main focus of this study is to provide an overview of the current conditions and trends that affect McKenzie County and to measure the economic contribution of its healthcare system, McKenzie County Healthcare Systems. 

 

2022 North Dakota Statewide Housing Needs Assessment  -  NDSU Center for Social Research Report No. 108 (October 2022)

The North Dakota Housing Finance Agency (NDHFA) commissioned the Center for Social Research to conduct a Statewide Housing Needs Assessment with the intention to provide housing industry professionals with a better understanding of state and local markets. The report presents an overview of current socio-economic conditions and important trends affecting housing dynamics, current market conditions, subsidized housing, and an analysis of population and housing projections. In addition, the report includes a one-page profile for the state and eight planning regions, counties and large cities, and American Indian Reservations.
