Genetics, discover you must. Get your Jedi on at this one-day event for middle schoolers! Join us on Thursday, June 13 for Jedi Genetics:  Exploring genetics through a Star Wars lens. Open to students in grades 6 to 8.

Discover secrets of health at the molecular level. You’ll learn about the uses of DNA and biomarkers to diagnose conditions. Hands-on activities include ELISA, a lab testing technique that detects and counts certain antibodies, antigens, proteins and hormones. Learn about gel electrophoresis to separate mixtures of DNA, RNA, or proteins according to molecular size.
