Document Imaging @ NDSU

Document imaging involves the capture, indexing, storage, and retention management of documents using enterprise content management software called Perceptive Content (formally known as "ImageNow"), a product of the Hyland Software company. Paper documents such as applications, forms, appeals, meeting minutes, and numerous other official records can be scanned and converted into electronic images that are stored on a secure server and can be easily searched for and viewed by users. Native electronic documents such as email, Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PDF files, and Web pages can be captured and stored in the system as well. In addition to using the document imaging system for storage and retrieval purposes, documents can also be routed through electronic workflows that can be customized to suit a department's various business processes. See the video below for a brief overview of the product.
