Bill Law is Assistant Director of NDSU’s Division of Performing Arts and in 2015 was also named the division’s Director of Development to lead fundraising for scholarships, equipment, and operations for the Challey School of Music and the Department of Theatre Arts. He is also Executive Director of BisonArts, an organization working in support of the Division of Performing Arts.

Law has served as an adjunct member of the NDSU faculty beginning in 1999, teaching applied bass and jazz studies. He has been an active jazz and pop bassist, playing with many top touring musicians including jazz artists Bob Mintzer, Tom “Bones” Malone, Louis Bellson, Clark Terry, and Bill Watrous and pop artists such as Gary US Bonds, the Diamonds, Lou Christy, Tennessee Ernie Ford, and Leslie Gore.

Law has a B.A. in Music from North Dakota State University and an M.A. in Music from Minnesota State University-Moorhead. He is currently a member of the board for the Fargo-Moorhead Choral Artists and the Kicks Band of Fargo-Moorhead, and has served on the board of the Lake Agassiz Arts Council (now The Arts Partnership), including two years as president. He also has served as a grant advisory panelist for the Minnesota State Arts Board. He was an adjunct faculty member at Minnesota State University-Moorhead for 10 years and is a past Executive Director of the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony. Bill is currently the host of Prairie Public Radio's 'America Swings'.
