Teeth
Parts of a tooth:
 | crown - the exposed part of a tooth. Covered by enamel.
| root - normally not exposed. Covered with
cementum.
| neck - junction of crown and root
| dentin - hard connective tissue that makes up the bulk of the
tooth.
| pulp cavity - space inside the tooth occupied by nerves and blood
vessels.

| deciduous teeth - baby teeth; temporary
teeth
| permanent teeth - not replaced if lost

Types of teeth
| incisor teeth - most rostral
| canine teeth - located at the corners of the
incisors. Not present in all species. These teeth are especially
prominent in vampires.
| premolar - rostral cheek teeth
| molar - caudal cheek teeth
