Olivia Rosenthal, a senior from Fargo majoring in animal science, presented a poster during NDSU Student Research Days in April. The title of the poster was “Effects of One Carbon Metabolite Supplementation on Placental Vascular Development at Mid-Gestation (Day 161) in Nutrient-Restricted Beef Heifers.”

Olivia was an awardee of the fall/spring NDSU Explore undergraduate research program. She was mentored by Dr. Pawel Borowicz.

A few weeks later she presented another poster, “Effects of OCM on Placental Vascularity, Fetal and Placental Weight,” during the North Dakota Academy of Science 2026 annual meeting. Her mentors were Drs. Borowicz, Larry Reynolds and Joel Caton. Olivia was also advised by research specialist Ginny Montgomery and graduate student Chutikun Kanjanaruch.
