Pesticide Certification Program in Logan County

Body

Logan County offers commercial and private applicator tests through the NDSU Extension Pesticide Certification Program.

First time private and commercial applicators are invited to contact our office to set up an exam time. Exams are open book, and applicators will need to bring some form of photo ID. (Examples include a driver's license, work ID, or student ID.) Cell phones are not allowed in the testing room.

Applicators must score at least 70% to pass. Otherwise, they will be asked to wait 3 days before retaking the exam. Applicators have 3 attempts to receive a passing grade; after 3 failed attempts, in-person training will be required.

Certification is valid for 3 years.

Please note: Drone applicators who are only interested in spraying their own land must complete a commercial Air Core exam. For a full list of all the trainings that you need to operate a drone, please contact the state office.
