Registration open for Crop Management Field School
Crop advisers, Extension employees, and farmers are invited to attend the annual NDSU Crop Management Field School at the Carrington Research Extension Center on June 27, 2025. This field school provides useful information and resources for agronomists and farmers.
The 2025 field school will feature two typical and fundamental topics in the morning session.
- Weed identification will be presented by Alicia Harstad, NDSU Extension Barnes County agent and Jeff Stachler, NDSU Extension cropping systems specialist at the CREC.
- Herbicide site of action will be presented by Joe Ikley, NDSU Extension weed specialist.
The afternoon session will feature soybean disease management by Wade Webster, NDSU Extension soybean pathology specialist, and soil health management by Carlos Pires, NDSU Extension soil heath specialist and Naeem Kalwar, NDSU Extension soil health specialist at the Langdon Research Extension Center.
Registration starts 8:30 a.m. in the CREC meeting room with the program starting at 9 a.m. The field school costs $100 per person to attend, which includes lunch and resources. The program concludes at 2:45 p.m.

Certified crop advisers will be able to earn four hours of continuing education units.
