The NDSU Campus Arboretum Interactive Experience was developed to increase engagement with the vast collection of trees, shrubs and woody vines that exist on campus.
How to Interact with the Arboretum:
Trees included with the interactive arboretum project have been labeled with a green and yellow sign that includes a QR code. To acces the quiz, scan the QR code with your phone and select “Can You Identify Me?”
The interactive quiz will prompt you to engage with the plant in front of you, testing your knowledge and observation skills. Tap the magnifying glasses to identify the leaf bud arrangement, the type of leaf, the bark, and seasonal attributes of the plant.
When you are ready to make a guess, tap the “I Know It!” button at the bottom of the screen. Once you type in your guess, the name of the plant will be revealed. From here, you can learn more about the species, or go to the website to see more plants.
