NDSU Select is a program featuring trees and shrubs that have been selected and introduced into the nursery trade that are well adapted for USDA hardiness zones 3+. The NDSU Woody Plant Improvement Program was established in 1954. Since 1986, there have been over 60 selections released. This program is dedicated to breeding, evaluating, selecting, and marketing a diversity of outstanding landscape trees and shrubs. Each NDSU selection has been evaluated for 20+ years to ensure they will perform well. These plants have been selected just for you.
