This option gives you sessions of cutting edge training in soils, weeds, flower and food gardening, pests, pesticides, trees and shrubs, and much more. In return for the education, we ask that you provide the state of ND with 48 hours of volunteer service total in your first two years with us. This is your internship. Following the internship, you become a Certified Master Gardener and maintain minimums of volunteer and education hours to maintain an active status. The course is offered at a reduced fee in return for your volunteerism.
This option gives you the same learning experience, but does not require volunteerism. This course option WILL NOT lead to Master Gardener certification or the ability to participate in our conferences or group trips. The course fee for this option is higher since no community service is required.
