In 2026, we celebrated 10 years of Veggies for the Pantry! Thank you to our amazing donors. Our 10th season has finished.

What We Do

Veggies for the Pantry, an Extension Master Gardener project, encourages local gardeners to donate garden produce at convenient urban locations for transport to food pantries. You can find Veggies volunteers at locations below from 6:30-7:30pm each Monday beginning in Mid-July until the Monday following the first frost, generally mid-October

Produce donated on Monday evenings will be delivered to Emergency Food Pantry (Fargo) and Dorothy Day Food Pantry (Moorhead) by our team of Extension Master Gardeners on Tuesdays. This is a great opportunity to help those in need in our area, support the the work of NDSU Extension, and end the home-gardeners plight of too many cucumbers, tomatoes, apples, and peas! To assist in delivery of healthy food, please wash your hands before harvesting and deliver your items in a clean container.
