Certified Bee Lawn Signs

Our Bee Lawn initiative began in 2023 following several years of research. We ask homeowners to plant a section of their lawn using the best seed mixes for our Upper Great Plains climate to create an insect friendly oasis. The application for a free Certified Bee Lawn sign, availabe since 2024, has resulted in modification or installation of over 900,000 square feet of bee lawn in North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota, or Montana.

Apply for Bee Lawn Certification You'll need to know the approximate square footage or your lawn plot(s).
