• Nelnet is the online ecommerce provider currently approved by NDSU.
• Generally, there are no implementation or maintenance fees associated with the use of the Nelnet system.
• NDSU Departments can utilize Nelnet to accept registration, for limited sales of products and services, and to accept credit card payments online.
• The Nelnet system can accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.
• Nelnet integrates with the Peoplesoft General Ledger system to update funds daily.
• Customer Account Services will assist with implementation, support, and reconciliation.
• Departments are responsible for coordinating their site and reconciliation.
• Credit card transactions are assessed a fee of approximately 2.5-2.75%. These fees are charged back to the department and fund where sales originated monthly.
• There are two (2) separate types of sites:
  • Storefront
  • Commerce Manager (QuikPay)
