2025 Campus Vaccine Clinics

Mark your calendars: Flu and COVID-19 vaccines will be available on campus for NDSU faculty and staff!
Event Description
Thrifty White Pharmacy will be on campus three days in October to provide flu and COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer) to NDSU faculty and staff who want them.
Everyone ages 6 months and older should get the flu shot every year. September and October are an ideal time to get vaccinated to provide protection against severe disease associated with flu throughout the respiratory season.
COVID-19 vaccines are available for those who are eligible. Much like the flu shot, the updated formula targets circulating COVID-19 variants, so it’s expected to give us better protection, especially against severe disease.
Currently, the 2025-2026 COVID-19 vaccine is approved for everyone 65+, and those 5-64 with at least one high-risk condition. High-risk conditions include:
- Asthma
- Cancer
- Hematologic malignancies (blood cancers)
- Cerebrovascular disease (such as stroke)
- Chronic kidney disease, including people receiving dialysis
- Bronchiectasis
- COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
- Cystic fibrosis
- Type 1 diabetes
- Type 2 diabetes
- Gestational diabetes
- Disabilities, including Down syndrome
- Heart conditions such as heart failure, coronary artery disease, or cardiomyopathies
- Solid-organ or blood stem-cell transplantation
- Tuberculosis
- Interstitial lung disease
- Pulmonary embolism
- Primary immunodeficiencies
- Being a current or former smoker
- Pulmonary hypertension
- Cirrhosis
- Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease
- Alcoholic liver disease
- Autoimmune hepatitis
- HIV
- Mood disorders, including depression and schizophrenia spectrum disorders
- Neurologic conditions limited to dementia and Parkinson’s disease
- Overweight or obesity (BMI over 25, or in the 95th percentile or higher in children)
- Physical inactivity
- Pregnancy and recent pregnancy
- Use of corticosteroids or other immunosuppressive medications
If you are under the age of 65 and sign up to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, you will have one additional form to sign at the clinic to attest you have a high-risk condition.
Adults 18-64 can receive the COVID-19 vaccine based on shared clinical decision making with a healthcare provider. Pharmacists will be available on site to help you decide what’s best for you.
If you have any questions regarding your eligibility for vaccination, please consult with your healthcare provider.

2. Click the green "Openings" tab and select a time.
3. Complete the registration form. Put "NA" for employee ID.
4. Do NOT fill in the information for State ID. Instead, click the box that attests to having a Social Security card. DO NOT bring your Social Security card to your flu shot clinic.
5. Fill in the insurance information (if Medicare populates as the default, click the option to enter other ins). Under the 'Medical Insurance Payer ID' just put NA.

7. Answer the Questions. This takes the place of the paper VAR form.
8. You will have to do a security check and then your flu shot appointment will be confirmed.
These clinics are for faculty and staff only. Students are encouraged to contact Student Health Service for vaccination appointments, or attend the Flu Shot Blitz at Student Health Service on September 25th, October 8th, or October 28th from 9am - 4pm. More information is available on the Student Health Service website.
