Vaccine hesitancy continues to be an issue across the nation. In this presentation, Dr. Rebecca Bakke introduced the history of the vaccine hesitancy movement, provided strategies for building trust with hesitant patients, and examined case examples of conversations in the medical encounter.

About the Speaker

Rebecca Bakke, MD, FAAP, is a graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota and the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences in Grand Forks, North Dakota. She completed her residency in general pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital with the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. She is currently a pediatrician at Sanford Children’s Southwest Clinic in Fargo, North Dakota, and has been practicing for 13 years.
