Activity Description
After completing this module, participants will be able to:
- Describe how the recommended vaccine schedule is developed and summarize the evidence supporting its safety, effectiveness, and timing.
- Explain the rationale for vaccinating pregnant women, including the benefits to both mother and baby, and summarize the evidence supporting vaccine safety during pregnancy.
- Explain why we vaccinate against diseases that are rarely seen in the U.S., including the role of herd immunity, real-world outbreak examples, and the impact of unvaccinated individuals on the community.
- Compare vaccine-induced immunity with natural infection, including benefits, risks, and the consequences of acquiring immunity through disease.

Continuing Education
This module is approved for 1 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM, or a certificate of completion for individuals who do not need CME credit. Each participant may only claim credit once per module. The post-test must be completed to earn credit.

Post-Test and Evaluation
To earn CME credit or a certificate of completion, all four module videos must be watched in full. After viewing all videos, please complete the post-test that corresponds to the type of credit you wish to claim. Each participant may claim credit or a certificate only once for completing this module. The post-test is required to receive credit or a certificate.
