Doctoral Degree
NDSU’s doctoral programs in Education prepare scholar-researchers and scholar-practitioners who advance educational research, leadership, and practice. Students can pursue either a Ph.D. or Ed.D. with emphases in Adult & Community Education, Institutional Effectiveness, or Organizational Learning & Leadership.
The Ph.D. emphasizes theory, research, and the advancement of knowledge, while the Ed.D. focuses on applying research and theory to professional practice and leadership.
